Quote:
Fighting the solar windstorm
A winged horse guides his way
Oracle of the ancient midnight
Calls forth everlasting pain

And I know, yes I know
He was a man of miracles
Riding golden meteorites
Ruler of distant galaxies
Born of the northern lights
Of the northern lights

Sorcerer of the dark moon
Who dare incur his rage?
First child of the scorpion
Prophet of the crystal age

And I know, yes I know
He was a man of miracles
Riding golden meteorites
Ruler of distant galaxies
Born of the northern lights
Of the northern lights

He was a man of miracles

It's a 1974 song by Styx, and knowing the band, they aren't nonsense...

Willy and I were chatting about this--- she and I are both Styx fans--- and she think's it's Rasputin.

I thought he was an historic character, but misheard lyrics to it as 510 and thought that was a date.

Child of the Scorpion isn't Rasputin, if it's a zodiac reference. he was a capricorn.

Born of the Northern lights though would fit him--- not too many magical prophets from that area. ;)

"A Crystal Age' is a sci fi Utopian novel published in 1887.

I can't find any other on line reference to 'a crystal age' that's not modern. I wonder if it's a term for Tzarist Russia, though...

I posted this a little after the last exchange.

There is a lyric about a winged horse leading him and a dark moon. Pegasus and Scorpio are constellations. Orion is in Scorpio? There are Orion meteor showers.

I think Hex is onto something. I think they may all refer to constellations.
