Keep getting "evil Love" stuck in your head? It is catchy, isn't it?

And now, I give you Paranoid Larry:

At each of our celebrations we have a round of toasts.

I think I will quote Larry at Beltane.

Blessed are the ones who make peace
Blessed are the ones who scrape by
Blessed are the ones living holy lives
and here's to the rest of us who try.

Somehow it reminds me of this, though...

That was 'my' song at a local live venue...

First time I ever heard/saw anything with a powerful, sexually aggressive female who doesn't lose*.

I think it warped my young mind. What? That can happen? That's ok?

Follow it up with a chaser of

and you have a man left in a sexually agressive female's wake, with her still winning.

And you have why I am the way I am.

Where are the songs like this for modern women?

* there are many instances of 'sexually aggressive' women in literature, most of which lose**. I think the closest to a 'winner' is Hester Prynne, but she survives, not wins. There is no one like the character Jett portrays in I Love Rock And Roll.

** There is a joke among romance authors that the difference between 'trashy novels' and 'literature' is that the women in 'trashy novels' have sex and don't die.

Here's a couple of videos with sexually aggressive women, at least:

And another excellent one by Bonham:

I thought it was only men who thought of sex as an act of conquest. Well misogynists anyway, I always thought of it as more of a mutual coming together under a flag of truce for some fun time. :D

No idea but it's not half bad, which is disturbing. The radio, dance music, I hate dance music. Just goes to show never judge a rook by its pawns.
