Not your most recent purchase, but the most current?

I read about 10 years ago that trends change with age--- you are less likely to go into body modification fads if you are over 23, food fads after 27 and music seems to be a constant that you never leave after the age of 30 (indeed, to me, it looks more like high school prom :p).

So I'm curious--- based on your decade, what's the most current music you are investing in?

For me, nigh unto 40, the most recent music I *bought* or invested in (should we count spent hours on youtube watching? why not! Long live the Web!)

Stacey Mitchart, (c) 2006 Blues
Garth Knox, (c) 2008 classical viola

youtube obsession: Brad Paisley. (c) 2009, modern country.

Chloride and Sodium: Two terribly dangerous substances that taste great together!

I have not bought a CD in over a year....that last one that caught my eye was a Brian Crane (classical piano) cd at the thrift. He comes here every year for a SummerFair and I buy one each year. this was a bonus. My cd collection has not changed much still a mutt mix of old school rock, the creedance era, country and classics. I do like SugarLand but have not bought one yet. Radio is free.

current you tube....I was totally watching this years Britains Got Talent....sucked into the vortex of the lovely Susan Boyle. how in the hell that dance troupe won is beyond my comprehension.

Though I take flak from my Tech-head buds, I have iTunes and I use that to download a whole bunch og free music. I have subscriptions to a handful of Trance/House/Electronic podcasts and a penchant for Goth and Industrial these days. Of course, I also listen to just about anything...
