So, I've been complaining to my buddy - the crazy Rosicrucian - about the total lack of a working group for those of us who like to kick it with some hermetic magick in the area.

He says to me, he says, "Dude, the Open Source Golden Dawn has materials to work from available to the public. Why not start your own lodge?"

...so, I'm an official cat herder now, trying to organize a group of pagans into a functional fraternity.

1) What the fuck is wrong with me that I'm trying to do this while finishing grad school?

2) Any advice?

There is nothing wrong with you by the choice of timing. Depending on your major, you could even work it in as part of your educational experience.

For the periodic update:

Twelve people expressed interest, so I've actually set up an organizational meeting.

Of those twelve who were so thrilled to see something like this develop locally...two have said that they might come if there's nothing else going on.

*headdesk*

Like herding cats.

we were at a party for a classmate of the 5 year old, and discovered two ways to herd children, at least.

the calls were:

PIZZA! and PINATA!

I think those may work for your group? :umm:

Keep us informed!

Forge! You lost your accent! I just knew it was fake. I bet forge isn't even your real name, is it?
