Happy Solstice! I was driving my son to the oral surgeon at the precise moment.

I'm observing tomorrow morning.

Well, depending on how things go tonight with the invalid. Thing 1 had a bad spell with the pain this afternoon. I may be up a lot tonight being sure he's medicated on time. I don't want that to happen again.

Thing 1 had his wisdom teeth out yesterday morning. He was supposed to eat some yogurt or pudding before taking pain meds, at some loosely specified time after he got home. His anesthesia wore off before he was up to pudding, so he had a rough hour or so between when the pain ramped up, he could eat, and the meds kicked in.

He slept 12 hours, and woke up in pain, too.

I hate that this hurts so much.

Yikes!

I had a bad experience with my wisdom teeth. I was one of the rare complications.

I'll also vouch for eating--- I also ended up with an ulcer caused by my pills... :(

Best of luck!

Congrats!

My jaw still aches thinking of mine. There's like a 5% complication rate on the operation, and I was one of them.

Not something I would have wished on anyone. And the surgeon went out of town right after my surgery, so I got his nurse who was sent to cover his patients who really wasn't capable putting me into more pain, and then I got angry and she read 'lawsuit' and sent me to another dr...

I didn't have to go to the ER.

So, tell him he's being a wimp! ;)

And here we are, ready for the next Solstice.

Any special plans for the day with the most natural light of the year (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, anyhow)?

Either way, Happy Solstice!

I had to spend the morning cleaning because the apartment is being inspected on Tuesday. But after that, Sister and I went swimming. Then we made a vegetarian lunch consisting of green salad and sauteed mushrooms and asparagus. Yum!
