Ok, I am about to rant. Over the years I have found spending a bit more on work clothes saves a bit of hassle and they last longer. But, in the last year I noticed that the better stores clothes are not holding up. I have a pair of pants on that the first time I wore them the button popped off. No problem, it has another clasp. This morning I get to work and the clasp is gone and a whole is in the pants (and not they are not too tight). I have worn them four times. WTF! It's also stuff like seems coming loose too. I am seriously considering trying to sew my own clothes. I have a skirt pattern I could start with and if it goes well I may just start doing it. Thanks for listening.

It isn't just clothes. It seems like everything nowadays is made to be disposable. It is really hard to find good quality at any price.

Arguably, it's just a reflection of the market.

A) Most people buy cheap clothes.
B) Cheap clothes must have lower quality in order to be profitable in a cheap market.

Therefore, most people don't buy based on quality, so quality doesn't matter in the marketplace of clothes.

It's wrong.
