Most breakfast food is really easy compared to dinner/lunch. You can't whip up french toast or pancakes?

We have cold cereal (mostly Wheatabix), hash browns, yogurt and fruit, hot cereal, stuff like that.

I make waffles and freeze them for quick breakfasts as well.

I mena, eating unusual things fro breakfast isn't bad, but eating shit from breakfast is.

and more on topic...

The website American Lunchroom has an answer, and it isn't (often) pretty. The site asks kids to send in photos of what they're eating in school cafeterias across the country. With the broadcast of Food, Inc., we wanted to highlight the state of the American diet, so here are some pictures taken in school lunchrooms around the nation.

If you're a student and want to show us what you're having for lunch, visit the website and upload your photo there!

they also show breakfasts.

slide show there!

heh! Lunch 21 is what I ate as a kid (any wonder I always opted for the PB&J sandwich?) and 24 is INSANE!

And lunch 17 and 13 are what Jamie is fighting. wtf? Tater tots and pizza?!?! That's college food!

lunch 16 lookssounds good to me though.

Our son has started asking" would Jamie Oliver like this"?

lol. WWJE? (What Would Jamie Eat?)

Part of the problem, I think, is that schools might be in compliance with regulations by offering healthy choices, but the kids are opting for the pizza instead, and not taking the fruit, veggies or salad bar.

Well, the Feds take far more than their appropriate share of our money, (it should be hugely bottom heavy toward the states, instead of split or top heavy) so they sure had better spend it on something other than flying to Copenhagen or California with their entourage.

You can't argue against kids or puppies. So I assume a big humane society of america funding bill will come out next. (Which they'll spend spaying deer and running anti-fur campaigns.)

There were a lot of payoffs in the bill. They need to get them all through before the fall, after which time they get to steal no more of the loot.
