Jess and Hex, please pardon my bringing this here. I simply do not want to post on TR.
You might be able to relate to someone having a temporary access problem and fabricating reasons as to why it would happen. Having a server issue is not an excuse, apparently, unless it's you're own site  .

So... a member at TR was having an access problem.

Quoting Matty from TR (in public):
Quote:
i had access issues yesterday evening too. i assumed it was server issues.

Matty, you should know that wasn't an acceptable answer for you and quite a few others now at TR, why should you be allowed to use it?.

Quoting Matty from TR (in public):
Quote:
Well i dont think its anything at this end tbh. We dont play Gurdur games, like that

I and Rigs copped a stealth band from that cunt at the Hub and for hte record I would hit the fucking roof and take the lot down before i ever saw something like that happen here.

Oh boy would i. ye can trust me on that one. There isnt much more of a hot button issue for me (and for the many others who bailed the Hub when it became apparent thats what the twat was doing), for that matter.

I am so sick of this lie being repeated over and over again. I've seen ravenscape tell it on a site I didn't even know existed until months later. Matt (RnR owner) came up with this theory and that's all it was - his theory.

It. Never. Happened. There was no hack. There was indeed a server issue which everyone was told at the time. If people refuse to believe that, there is nothing more I can do but you don't have to keep repeating this lie ad nauseum. If you won't believe the truth, how about just maybe move on.

These latest events certainly cast some doubt on that assumption. That's for sure.

There is a vBulletin hack known as 'miserable user':

Quote:
When classed as miserable, a member suffers ;

1. Slow response (time delay) on every page (20 to 60 seconds default).
2. A chance they will get the "server busy" message (50% by default).
3. A chance that no search facilities will be available (75% by default).
4. A chance they will get redirected to another preset page (25% & homepage by default).
5. A chance they will simply get a blank page (25% by default).
6. Post flood limit increased by a defined factor (10 times by default).
7. If they get past all this okay, then they will be served up their proper page.

Matty and rigorist suffered symptoms which seemed very similar to this whilst posting at Heathen Hub (a site a lot of us used prior to setting up TR).

It's drama.

Don't feed it.

They need to work it out. I hope they can.

Which symptoms were observed after a rather . . . loud . . . dispute with Gurdur.

People can draw their own conclusions.

It would be advisable. Cause the megalomaniac lurks here to take back posts to his "Souper Sekret" Core forum.

Maybe it's just a glitch, but it looks like the little scamps might have done that to me at RnR.

Hope so, and if so ROFL

Amusingly, FRD ultimately decided against implementing it, though at the time we called it "Coventry."

Coventry is different and it's actually not a hack.

Just sayin'.
